IT’S official!
Friends Shalom Charamba – daughter of celebrated gospel couple Charles Charamba and Olivia Charamba – and Nyasha Matimbire, daughter of preacher Memory Matimbire, have entered a new chapter in their lives.
Birthday girl Shalom married her partner, Anesu Mpepula, in a traditional ceremony over the weekend, while Nyasha wed Ngoni Chikovore, a clergyman, in a separate but equally high-profile event.
“I am very excited to be sharing this journey with you. I have spoken about waiting — and this is what happens when you wait on the Lord,” Shalom said, expressing her joy as she shared the milestone with followers.
The twin celebrations sparked widespread reaction on social media, with messages of congratulations pouring in from across the music and church communities.
Among those extending well-wishes was Mai Patai, who wrote: “Congratulations my daughter, I’m so happy for you.”
Nyasha’s wedding stood out for its scale and spectacle.
Guests watched as the bride made a dramatic entrance by helicopter, with reports indicating the groom also arrived by air, underscoring the event’s opulence and grandeur.
The ceremony has since ranked among the most talked-about society weddings in recent memory.
Shalom’s celebrations were marked by a confluence of milestones.
Alongside her marriage, she also celebrated her birthday and recent engagement, capping what she described as a season of “triple joy”.
Known for her 2020 debut single “Mbiri Yose”, Shalom has steadily built a presence within local gospel music scene.
As the firstborn in the Charamba family, whose Fishers of Men ministry commands a significant following, her personal and professional journey has drawn sustained public interest.—Dailynews
