JADEL Football Academy continues to blaze a trail, with the acclaimed nursery partnering with various corporates to reach out to marginalised communities in search of raw talent.
The academy founded in Beijing, China by former Zimbabwe youth international Walter “Ringers” Musanhu, has been active in taking children off the streets and reintegrating them into schools, particularly in Mbare.
The project has now expanded into rural communities, establishing satellite centres where trained technical experts conduct frequent visits to provide professional guidance.
Jadel FA visited Mahusekwa last weekend, partnering with Mt Meru Zimbabwe to host a joint scouting tournament that resulted in the identification of over 10 promising players.
Musanhu stated: “I am delighted to be working with youngsters across Zimbabwe. We realised that our programs were previously overlooking marginalised communities, especially in rural areas.
“There is immense raw talent in these regions. Last weekend, we partnered with Mt Meru Zimbabwe as they commemorated their 47th anniversary to host a major tournament.
“Our coaching staff, including legend Stanford ‘Stix’ Mutizwa, was on hand. We identified and scouted several exceptional players who have now been integrated into our structures. I can happily confirm the launch of Jadel Football Academy Mahusekwa.”
Mt Meru spokesperson Audrey Chiwandire praised Jadel FA for its impact on lives across the country.
“We decided to partner with Jadel FA after reviewing their track record. They are a prime example of a properly managed academy,” she said.
“As we marked our 47th anniversary, we chose to collaborate with them for this joint program in Mahusekwa. Our goal is to see marginalised communities receive the support their talent deserves.
“We are thrilled to see Jadel FA establish a permanent satellite presence in Mahusekwa through our collective efforts,”she addded.
